“Out in Front” then, and “Out in Front” today. Twenty years ago this week, the law firm of Adams and Reese LLP launched its first website. It was among only 25 New Orleans-related websites and was the first New Orleans law firm to join the World Wide Web, according to America Online (AOL) records and The Times-Picayune article that appeared in its July 19, 1995, Money Section included below.
The Times-Picayune wrote: “Getting on the Web” – “Even the lawyers are going cyber-wacky. Adams and Reese, a New Orleans law firm, has set up its own home page on the World Wide Web. It says it's the only New Orleans law firm listed on the Internet, and a look at the listings via America Online confirms it. There are about 25 New Orleans-related Web sites in all, including the Chamber of Commerce, the New Orleans Freenet and Yat Communications' Virtually New Orleans. The home page lists the firm's clients, a speakers bureau and other information. The address is http://www.arlaw.com. Adams and Reese also has a data transmission service to help the exchange of legal documents.”
Adams and Reese is a multidisciplinary law firm with 300 attorneys and advisors strategically located in 16 offices in 15 markets throughout the southern United States and Washington, D.C. American Lawyer includes Adams and Reese on its distinguished list of the nation's top law firms - "The Am Law 200". The National Law Journal also includes the firm on the "NLJ 350" list of the nation's largest law firms.
