Barbara “Barbie” Norton assists clients at the intersection of business and government, counseling corporations on economic and business development opportunities, navigating them through local, state and federal regulatory requirements, and connecting clients’ interests and policy goals to further investment and business growth.
Before joining Adams and Reese, Barbie spent four years in Washington, DC in various roles within SelectUSA, the federal government program housed within the United States Department of Commerce charged to promote and facilitate business investment into the United States. Barbie served as chief of staff, senior advisor and deputy director of administration for a federal program that has facilitated more than $105 billion in client-verified investment projects, supporting more than 138,000 jobs since inception.
Barbie also has a background in political consulting, campaign management and political fundraising, displaying her skills in campaign strategy, event planning, research, data management and professional communications. These grassroots efforts and working on federal to state and local elections helped her establish relationships with elected officials, activists and community leaders.
