I have had the rare privilege of serving in government at the state and federal levels, representing my constituents on a wide array of issues. This service has given me an in-depth understanding of the opportunities — and challenges — we face as a state, region, and nation.
From K-12 education reform to leading a major higher education system to fighting for individuals and businesses, large and small, on a host of legislative issues, I have seen, done, and learned a lot. My clients trust me to be their advocate, drawing on this considerable experience and knowledge, and I am a champion for their businesses.
Bradley Byrne has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney in private practice and more than two decades of public service. Throughout his legal career, Bradley has litigated hundreds of civil cases across the Southeast, usually representing businesses or their owners, especially in labor and employment disputes. Clients see Bradley as a thought and action leader who gets things done.
Bradley provides government relations services at the state and federal levels, corporate advice and counsel, economic development services, and labor relations counsel for a mix of private businesses, public entities, as well as both state and federal associations.
He served as an elected member of the Alabama State Board of Education and the Alabama State Senate and was appointed as the Chancellor of Alabama’s two-year college system. In that role, Bradley was tasked with cleaning up rampant corruption and reforming the mission and processes, substantially increasing Alabama’s educational standards and accountability measures. He also chaired Alabama’s Workforce Planning Council.
Bradley spent four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives serving on the Armed Services Committee, where he was an advocate for strengthening America’s defense, especially in shipbuilding and the creation of the new Space Force. He was also appointed by two Speakers to the prestigious Rules Committee.
With his background as a labor and employment attorney and in education policy, Bradley was a natural fit on the Education and Labor Committee, where he chaired the Workforce Protections Subcommittee.
He was known as a fierce supporter of business and industry, often leading on important issues where his experience in labor law, workforce training, and education policy gave him a unique perspective. Bradley has led initiatives that have increased access to education and job training, benefiting Alabama’s workforce and businesses alike.
Thanks to his extensive public service experience, Bradley has a unique perspective on the federal contracting process, particularly in the area of defense. As a lawyer, Bradley has represented numerous clients before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As a member of Congress, he frequently dealt with these agencies and with the Department of Labor, including its Wage and Hour Division.
As a former education policymaker and higher education leader, he has worked on significant issues with the Department of Education, as well as various workforce training and apprenticeship programs.
On June 1, 2022, Bradley was named President and CEO of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce.
Bradley is an avid sportsman and small forest owner, making him a strong advocate for the agricultural, forestry, fishing, and hunting industries.
