In the medical malpractice cases I defend, details matter.  I want to know the facts of the case inside and out.  I want to know everything I can about the care provided and what’s in the medical records.  With my background as an emergency room nurse, there are times I can find important facts that might not seem important.

Donna Boyce is a litigator who focuses on medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, and medical board complaints in Tennessee and Mississippi. She represents physicians, nurses, home health providers as well as large medical centers, and has taken cases to trial in both state and federal court. With 16 years experience as a practicing nurse in a large medical center emergency room, and a year as risk manager in a pediatric cancer center, Donna knows firsthand the stresses and challenges of working in health care and her clients benefit from her medical knowledge.

She was also involved in breast implant litigation and part of the team that successfully defended the first breast implant trial in Tennessee.

I really enjoy defending individuals in medical malpractice cases because the work is so personal. Doctors and nurses have so much of themselves, of their professional lives, on the line. I want the most for them, the best for them, and it’s really gratifying when we get relief for them.
