Primary Practice:

Lance Felicien is a member of the Adams and Reese Financial Services Practice Group. Based in Houston, Lance works with the group’s attorneys to advise financial institution clients on all types of financial services issues, including litigation affecting and impacting their institution, and assisting them on the advisory side to comply within the regulatory environment.

In addition to financial services, Lance has experience in complex commercial and general civil litigation, insurance coverage and extra-contractual liability, construction litigation and design law, professional liability/errors and omissions, and tort and catastrophic loss.

Before earning his law degree, Lance served for 10 years in the United States Army, including holding the rank of Captain. Lance earned the Bronze Star Medal for his service during the war in Afghanistan. He supervised more than 100 soldiers and commanded a field maintenance company capable of worldwide deployment in response to conflicts across the globe.

Lance earned his J.D., cum laude, from the South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was a member of the South Texas Law Review and was on the school’s nationally recognized varsity Moot Court Team as an advocate and brief writer.

Lance clerked for the Texas First District Court of Appeals under Hon. April L. Farris. He served as Vice President of the Veteran Law Student Association, and he was a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. He earned several honors including Dean’s Honor List; Best Brief Award at the McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition; Finalist and 2nd Place at the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition; and CALI Award in Property II for highest grade in the class.

Lance received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Houston.
