We are looking for our future partners.
Our Summer Associate Program is designed to give law students first-hand and in-depth understanding of what it is like to be an attorney at Adams and Reese.
As a summer associate, you will receive personal attention from both a peer mentor and partner advisor who are responsible for including you in client interactions, intake meetings, depositions, mediations, hearings, and closings. You will gain hands-on experience through challenging and diverse work assignments that come from real cases the Firm is handling.
We are also intentional about connecting and building real relationships with our summer associates through social activities both in and outside of the office. We also provide weekly lunch-and-learns during which partners across the footprint provide overviews of our top practice areas and weekly presentations by firm leadership providing an inside view on the business of law, our strategic planning and internal programs to maximize our lawyers’ potential. We hope that you will recognize our core values of teamwork, leadership building, and collegiality in everything we do.
“The area of law that you practice in may change over time, but if you pick the right firm, the people shouldn’t. I am fortunate. I could not imagine working anywhere else; and that is because I chose a Firm based on not only its prestige, but its culture.“

We set realistic expectations for each phase of an attorney’s development, and provide transparent feedback, so you know how you’re doing every step of the way. In your first year, our focus will be committed to your practical training working on client assignments with regular feedback along with learning the Firm’s organization, policies, and corporate culture. Your second year continues to focus on improving your skill set and increasing your client responsibilities commensurate with your development.
You will also have an opportunity to become more engaged with our H.U.G.S program focused on our core value to give back to our communities both in our extensive pro bono work and office-based events. Our seasoned associates receive continued professional development through our Associate Mentoring Program, monthly associate training lunch-and-learns, and all associates attend an annual retreat, with leadership in attendance and plenty of networking opportunities.
