Adams and Reese employees from the firm’s Houston office volunteered at the Houston Food Bank on Saturday, May 17th, to help provide more than 30,000 meals through their day of work.
Volunteers worked in the Bank’s state-of-the-art facility near the Houston Ship Channel. The group worked in the food prep room filling and boxing bags of rice for distribution to area food pantries. Adams and Reese volunteers helped process 11,592 pounds of rice, or 5,152 family sized bags of rice for 30,912 individual (meal) portions.
The Houston Food Bank is a member of the Adams and Reese employee volunteer program, HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving, and Support), which was founded in 1988 and has since devoted financial resources and thousands of volunteer hours to offer assistance to those in need. Every year throughout Adams and Reese’s regional footprint, employees donate time, money and supplies to more than 200 community organizations in need.
