Adams and Reese attorneys Cate Creed and Billy Wright have joined the board of directors of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation.
The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, borne in 1988, is a nonprofit that attracts and manages sporting events that have a positive economic impact across the state of Louisiana and within the Greater New Orleans area. Throughout its history, the Sports Foundation has hosted and been awarded hundreds of events and turned a $40 million public investment into more than $3 billion in economic impact for the state and the city.
Cate Creed focuses her practice in litigation and public finance, advising clients on commercial litigation matters and regulatory compliance. Creed earned her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review, competed as a Moot Court team member and coach, and was Chief Justice of the Honor Board. In addition to her J.D., she received a Legal, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Certificate. Creed earned a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied public relations and business. Her background in conducting research, creating strategic campaigns, and developing action plans allows Creed to think strategically and creatively while evaluating clients’ matters from a business perspective.
Billy Wright focuses on professional liability, management liability, employment, and general insurance defense. He devotes the remainder of his practice to a wide array of litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and disputes pertaining to successions, wills, and trusts. While Wright’s main clients include Louisiana’s largest health care provider, Fortune 500 companies, major commercial insurance companies, and charter schools, his wide-ranging experience helps him understand the challenges and day-to-day operations of his clients in government, transportation, housing, construction, automotive, hospitality, oil and gas, maritime, education, retail, restaurant, and healthcare. Wright has been recognized among Louisiana’s Rising Stars and Best Lawyers Ones to Watch. Wright earned his J.D. from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and received his B.S. from LSU.
