Adams and Reese is pleased to announce Danielle Douglas has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in Birmingham as an Associate.
Douglas assists with commercial litigation, labor and employment issues, products liability, insurance disputes, and issues arising from the intersection of business of government.
Prior to joining Adams and Reese, Douglas served as Acting Intergovernmental & Public Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice within the Office of Legislative Affairs. Douglas served as DOJ’s liaison to governors’ staff, state attorneys’ general offices, state and local elected officials, law enforcement agencies, professional organizations, and private sector entities.
While at the U.S. Department of Justice, Douglas also served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs, advising on matters related to civil litigation, civil rights, immigration, health care fraud, health care policy, and violent crime initiatives. She advised DOJ’s client-agencies regarding their communications with Congress on matters involved in litigation, and coordinated the Senate confirmation process for DOJ executive nominations.
Douglas received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2018 and her B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 2015.
