Adams and Reese is pleased to welcome Garrett Zoghby to the firm’s Mobile office. Zoghby is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice.
Zoghby represents corporate clients in matters involving premises liability, insurance defense, medical malpractice, products liability, and trucking accidents. He also represents contractors and property owners in construction disputes and municipal law issues. Zoghby helps clients throughout all phases of litigation, from risk mitigation and pre-suit negotiations to coordinating large-scale electronic discovery, taking depositions, drafting Daubert and dispositive motions, and trial.
Zoghby argues cases all the way through appeal before courts of last resort, including the Alabama Supreme Court and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before entering private practice, Zoghby served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Ben H. Brooks III, Circuit Judge of the Mobile County Circuit Court. There, he gained experience in legal issues involving the Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of Evidence and Alabama case law. He assisted with all aspects of research, memoranda and trial preparation for litigation in the areas of product and premises liability, commercial dispute resolution and insurance coverage litigation.
Zoghby is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Mobile Bar Association, Baldwin Bar Association, and the Paul W. Brock American Inn of Court. In the Mobile community, he has volunteered at St. Mary’s Home and with coastal clean-up efforts.
Zoghby received his B.A. in Management Marketing from the University of South Alabama, Mitchell College of Business in 2013. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the Birmingham School of Law in 2016.
