Joey was our Partner, Friend and Colleague. He was an accomplished, dedicated bankruptcy and creditors' rights attorney. He will be deeply missed.
We are deeply saddened by the untimely death of our partner, colleague and friend, Joey E. Schlosberg. Joey joined Adams and Reese in 2010 when the firm opened the St. Petersburg Office. Joey served as Partner in Charge of that office for over a year and he was a member of our firm’s Bankruptcy Team. An accomplished bankruptcy and creditors' rights attorney, Joey took great pride in providing exemplary and dedicated service to his clients. Joey was highly regarded and earned the respect of his clients and colleagues. He was a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association.
Joey was a member of the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee and Temple Emanu-El where he devoted much of his time on various committees. He was especially passionate about the needs of children. He frequently devoted time and resources to Manasota BUDS, the St. Petersburg Bar Association Holidays in July program, and many Adams and Reese charitable events organized specifically for children, and families, in need.
Joey spent most of his personal time with his wife and children, whom he adored. He enjoyed watching the Yankees play baseball, and Florida Gator football. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and maintained a deep respect for his childhood and roots.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Joey’s wife, Kim, his children, Lily and Luca, and other members of his family.
