Properly managing litigation is an attribute of highly accomplished and prosperous businesses. For my clients, I manage their litigation and potential disputes. A lawsuit is rarely welcomed, and businesses know that significant disruption can result from litigation, even if it is not a “bet-the-company” suit. Thus, I take the time, on my own dime, to know your business and my comprehension has to span beyond the issue du jour-- I want to understand your business model, your position in the space, your people, and ultimately, your business objectives. Importantly, together we define what the best possible outcome should look like and how to accomplish the desired result in a cost-efficient manner, which often leads to alternative methods of resolutions, including mediation, arbitration – or even better – a business solution.

“ I had the extraordinary honor to represent 16,000 Louisiana charter school children whose $200 million in constitutionally protected funding was being challenged. After successfully trying the case and preserving the funding, the court of appeals reversed following three oral arguments. Thankfully, we were afforded the opportunity to argue before the Louisiana Supreme Court, which reinstated the trial court’s decision permitting these charter school students to continue to receive the constitutionally guaranteed funding. The decision is significant not only because it is a seminal case in Louisiana but also because the great result arose from my team’s diligence and dedication. And importantly, it was for the most worthy clients a lawyer in this state could ever represent, Louisiana’s children. ”
