Adams and Reese Litigation Partner Mark Beebe moderated a panel at the 2024 International Corporate Counsel College event, held Sept. 26-27 at The Ritz-Carlton in Istanbul, Turkey.

“Like Dominos Falling: The Impact of a World in Crisis on the Global Supply Chain and the Resulting Litigation” discussed how COVID-19, war, natural disasters, inflation, and recession have all born supply chain disruptions – generating adverse effects on company operations and financial stability. The ability to anticipate and manage these disruptions has become imperative for maintaining competitive advantage and operational resilience. In-house and outside counsel must prepare for these disruptions to advise clients on how to best traverse the challenging terrain of the supply chain landscape.

Beebe moderated a panel of counsel who addressed the impacts of the global supply chain and litigation across borders. Beebe was joined by Bedouin Joseph, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of SeaRiver Maritime, Inc. (an ExxonMobil affiliate) and Salem Mohamed, Regional Legal Counsel of GE Healthcare.

The International Corporate Counsel College, produced by the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) brings together in-house counsel and their law firm counterparts for education and discussion on the latest legal issues affecting global companies.

Beebe served as IADC Board President in 2022-2023. The IADC is a preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests. Beebe has been a member of the IADC since 2002.

Beebe is ranked by clients and peers in Chambers USA among the top litigators in Louisiana. In his diverse litigation practice, Beebe counsels clients in the areas of antitrust, trade secret protection, securities litigation, officers and directors’ duties and responsibilities, corporate governance, contractual interpretation and enforcement, warranty obligations and commercial and financial disputes, including banking and intellectual property matters.
