Austin Stewart has been elected Chairman of the Madison County Business League & Foundation's (MCBL&F) Madison County Young Professionals (MCYP) Steering Committee.
In this role, Austin will lead the organization's forward-looking initiatives fostering economic planning, growth and development involving young professionals from all industries across Madison County, Mississippi. The group works to reach its 200-plus members, ages 39 and younger, who work with businesses that are members of the MCBL&F.
MCBL&F provides young professionals and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to build relationships, serve the community and engage with business, political and civil leaders.
The Madison County Business League & Foundation was created in 2008 by the Madison County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) and the Madison County Board of Supervisors to promote economic planning and development.
At Adams and Reese, Stewart’s litigation-driven practice focuses on complex matters involving products liability, commercial litigation, toxic torts and insurance. His breadth of litigation experience includes representing clients in industrial services, construction, product manufacturing, real estate and government. He serves on the national trial counsel team for an industry-leading product manufacturing company, and works closely with experts in industrial hygiene, workplace safety and government regulation.
For the last decade, Stewart has volunteered his time to the programs of the Mississippi Bar, including the High School Mock Trial Competition, where he has served as an attorney coach, judge and Chairman of the High School Mock Trial committee. He focused his efforts on legal education opportunities for young lawyers as Chairman of the Seminars and Lawyer in Every Classroom committees of the Young Lawyers Division. He is also a member of the Capital Area Bar Association and the Jackson Young Lawyers.
