Adams and Reese attorney Lauren Baio has been appointed to The Florida Bar Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee where she serves as the liaison to the Judicial Nominating Committee for the Second District Court of Appeal.
The Florida Bar’s Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee assists the Florida Governor and the judicial nominating commissions in discharging their respective duties under Article V, Section 11, of the Florida Constitution.
The Committee offers assistance to the Governor with organizing and presenting an annual training program for all JNC commissioners, which provides authoritative information on judicial selection and the judicial nominating process. It also acts as a forum for the mutual exchange of information amongst the commissioners.
At Adams and Reese, Baio practices primarily in financial services, including commercial restructuring and bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. Before joining Adams and Reese, Baio was corporate counsel at Sodexo, Inc., a Fortune Global 500 company, and an attorney at GrayRobinson, P.A. handling bankruptcy, debt workout, and litigation matters on behalf of financial institutions, businesses, and governmental entities.
Baio earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from Rollins College.
