Adams and Reese attorney Lauren Baio will participate in the 2024 Next Generation (“NextGen”) program offered at this year’s National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ (NCBJ) Annual Meeting, to be held Sept. 18-20, 2024, in Seattle, Washington.
NextGen participants include bankruptcy attorneys of: (i) ten or fewer years in practice; (ii) a practice that centers on bankruptcy law: and (iii) a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of civility, ethics, and professionalism.
As in the past years at the NCBJ Annual Meeting, NextGen participants will experience an exclusive Judicial Roundtable program, as well as networking opportunities and social events with their 2024 classmates and NextGen alumni.
The NCBJ will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. Its mission is to promote the interests of U.S. Bankruptcy Judges; to improve the administration of the bankruptcy system; to foster scholarship, collegiality, and diversity among members of the bankruptcy bench and bar; and to provide opportunities for education and networking for bankruptcy judges and the bankruptcy community at large.
At Adams and Reese, Baio practices primarily in financial services, including commercial restructuring and bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice in Florida, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Baio is active in the legal profession and within her restructuring and bankruptcy practice. She serves on the DC Network Board of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation as the Secretary and Co-Chair of the Communications Board; on the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Bankruptcy Litigation and Young & New Members committees; on The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors; and The Florida Bar Business Law Section – Bankruptcy/UCC Committee.
