Adams and Reese Senior Policy Advisor David King has been appointed as “Local Representative for the State of South Carolina” by the American Chamber (AmCham) of Commerce in Italy Board of Directors.
King’s candidacy was approved at a meeting held in Milan on Oct. 5. King will serve a three-year term. The representative brings awareness of AmCham’s activities to South Carolina and informs AmCham of opportunities through membership, business prospects, and meetings.

At Adams and Reese, King works in the law firm’s Intersection of Business and Government Practice, possessing a breadth of knowledge of corporate site selection, FDI, federal and state legislative policies to advise clients on economic development and government relations matters.
An accomplished professional economic developer with over three decades of experience, King was previously a founding member of South Carolina’s oldest regional economic development. Throughout his economic development career King assisted capital investment of nearly $20 billion, creation of over 80,000 new jobs, and led 100+ purpose-driven global business recruitment missions. King formerly worked for the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, serving as the Director of Marketing in the Economic Development Division.
