Adams and Reese wishes good luck to the award-winning and NCAA national champion Walsh Sisters – Alex Walsh and Gretchen Walsh – who will compete in Paris in various individual and team swimming events.

Gretchen will compete in the 100-meter butterfly, 100-meter freestyle, 50-meter freestyle, and 4x100 meter freestyle relay. Alex will compete in the 200-meter individual medley.

Adams and Reese Global IP Partner and trademark attorney Haverly MacArthur, in the Nashville office, represents the Walsh Sisters in various aspects of their careers, including contracts, NIL deals, agent agreements, and trademark protection.

The Walsh Sisters are Nashville, Tennessee natives and high school graduates of Harpeth Hall. Gretchen and Alex helped Harpeth Hall win back-to-back Swimming World National Championships in 2018 and 2019. Alex became the fourth Harpeth Hall graduate to earn an Olympic medal when she won the Silver in the 200-meter IM at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2020.

They have been one of the most dynamic swimming duos throughout a storied career that has seen them achieve 37 NCAA titles and seven world titles. In college, Gretchen set the NCAA record in the world’s fastest 100-yard backstroke. Alex is a 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist, five-time individual NCAA champion, and world champion in the 200-meter IM. The two have been featured by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Swimming World, among other national and global media.

The Walsh Sisters, University of Virginia graduates, were the first college athletes to team up with a nationally recognized swim brand for a co-branded collection. Their line of swimwear – “Sporti x Alex + Gretchen Walsh Palm Springs Collection” – is on SwimOutlet.com. The website has sold more than 25 million suits. Sporti is the SwimOutlet’s top performance line. The Walsh Sisters are on the cover of the 2024 Olympic Preview SwimSwam magazine.

During the Olympic trials, Gretchen smashed the women’s 100-meter butterfly world record with a time of 55.18 seconds. She also finished first in the 100-meter butterfly finals, securing a spot at the 2024 Olympics. Alex punched her return ticket to the games in the 200-meter IM, finishing second in the trials behind University of Virginia teammate Kate Douglass.
