Adams and Reese attorneys Lauren Tafaro and Philip Sherman have been named among the New Orleans CityBusiness “Leadership in Law” 2022 honorees. The class includes area professionals in the field of law who have helped move the legal community forward with energy, innovative ideas, achievements, and a commitment to excellence.
Lauren and Philip, along with the other Leadership in Law honorees, will be celebrated at an in-person event on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the New Orleans Museum of Art from 4–6 p.m.
At Adams and Reese, Lauren’s labor and employment practice focuses on insured and uninsured employment claims, and she represents employers in administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies. Lauren defends employers in lawsuits alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination pursuant to federal and state anti-discrimination statutes. She also authors and argues dispositive motions.
In his real estate-focused practice, Philip represents lenders and developers in various transformative projects. He has worked on details including the acquisition, financing, development, and leasing of all types of developments. Among the projects Philip has worked on are office buildings, apartments, condominiums, restaurants, and hospitals.
Started in 2005, Leadership in Law recognizes legal professionals in four categories: firm associated, court associated, in-house counsel, and educators. Honorees are selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.
A special insert profiling this year’s honorees will be published in the October 21, 2022 issue of CityBusiness.
