Adams and Reese Partner Kellen Mathews has been elected as a board member of the newly formed Leaders for a Better Louisiana, which resulted from the recent merger of the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL) and the Committee of 100 for Economic Development (C100).

At Adams and Reese, Mathews has a diverse practice, focusing on administrative and regulatory matters, litigation and government contracting. Much of his work directly touches the insurance sector, and he has helped insurance clients in various spaces ranging from claims litigation to regulatory and administrative practice.

Leaders for a Better Louisiana will drive transformative change through data-driven policies, economic development, and leadership empowerment. The merger, announced Jan. 15, unites two of Louisiana’s most respected statewide advocacy organizations as. The nonprofit will be led by CEO Adam Knapp and Chief Policy Officer Barry Erwin. The inaugural co-chairs will include former CABL Chair Dr. Heather Poole of Alexandria and C100 Chair-Elect Dr. Phillip Rozeman of Shreveport.
