Adams and Reese is featured in the inaugural “Empowering Women” edition, published today in New Orleans CityBusiness. The special edition recognizes organizations that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women, highlighting efforts to advance women in the workplace and community.
Empowering Women honors companies that demonstrate a track record of recruiting, hiring, and promoting women; offering mentoring programs; working towards systemic change to combat inequality; placing women on their board or C-Suite; advancing the cause of women through outside philanthropic or community endeavors; and providing scholarship assistance.
Since its founding in 1951, the AmLaw 200, NLJ 500, and Law360 Top 400 law firm of Adams and Reese has produced multiple generations of diverse and female leaders.
Over the decades, Adams and Reese has added initiatives including AR ARROW (Advancement, Recruitment and Retention of Women) to advance talented attorneys to leadership roles; and cultivated pipeline programs, scholarship opportunities, and relationships with law schools and colleges that recruit attorneys and staff from underrepresented populations.
Adams and Reese is a Mansfield Rule certified law firm, a designation that has become the industry standard for how law firms track and measure their consideration of at least 30 percent women and lawyers from underrepresented groups for top leadership roles. Adams and Reese has put in place female/minority leadership as partners in charge in its Baton Rouge, Tampa, Denver and Jacksonville offices.
Adams and Reese continues to explore additional programs to support women and diverse attorneys and staff.
