Industry Representation
Tax Increment Financing
A county government landed an industrial project, but it needed to pay to prepare the site. We drafted state legislation to expand the definition of Tax Increment Financing (“TIF”) to include a site like this and allow new methods of tax exemption. The resulting project was the largest economic development project in the state’s history.
Lobbying for Telemedicine Advancements
Assisted an electronics corporation in lobbying to enhance telemedicine in rural Tennessee areas, as well as securing funding to use the company’s enhanced technology in underserved healthcare facilities. This effort improved maternal health care in “maternity deserts” by allowing qualified medical professionals to monitor patients remotely.
Shipbuilding Advocacy
Represent a national shipbuilder's trade association in advocating for the U.S. shipyard industry. Our federal team has assisted in legislation aimed at enhancing the industry's infrastructure, which will positively impact the industry for decades. We also advocate for the Jones Act and the economic benefits of using U.S.-built, owned, and crewed ships for commerce.
