Adams and Reese Jackson partner John S. Hooks has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the historic New Stage Theatre, one of America’s most important regional theaters, providing contemporary and classic productions for more than 50 years.

At Adams and Reese, Hooks is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. A Mid-South Super Lawyer®, he handles a broad range of complex litigation including education, appellate, and employment matters in Mississippi and Washington, D.C. He also helps coordinate the firm’s associate training program and has served as Partner in Charge of the Adams and Reese Jackson office.
Hooks was recently named Mississippi’s first Honorary Consul of Spain and serves on the boards of several noteworthy community organizations, including the Eudora Welty Foundation and the Mississippi Book Festival. He is also actively involved in alumni organizations of Georgetown University and the Vanderbilt University School of Law.
