Adams and Reese Government Relations Partner Jeff Brooks is interviewed by Business Insider in the article, “It’s Trump 5.0: Lobbyists Reveal How Trump is Changing the Influence Game.”
“Trump has a mandate from the American people and is using it. It hasn't been this exciting on Capitol Hill since 1994, when Republicans had their Contract with America,” said Brooks to Business Insider.
Brooks and members of the Adams and Reese GR team have had a longstanding relationship with Congressional members. The Government Relations Team is a subsection of the Adams and Reese IBG practice group and has more than 75 attorneys and advisors located across eight state capitals, including DC.
The GR Team provides advocacy, lobbying, support, and legal counsel at the local, state, and federal levels to companies, trade associations, municipalities, city and county governments, parishes, universities, and nonprofits. Its members include former members of Congress, former state legislative leadership, former staffers, and a former U.S. Ambassador.
At Adams and Reese, Brooks is the immediate past chair of the Executive Committee. Brooks has been an integral member of the firm’s GR Practice since he helped establish the firm’s DC office in 1997. Brooks represents clients’ interests at the federal, state, and local levels, in diverse areas, including energy, transportation, public works, budget appropriations, education, and financial services, among others. Brooks combines his budget and appropriations experience, his understanding of financial service matters, and his knowledge of legislative strategy to represent clients from the Gulf South, the firm’s major footprint, as well as those in virtually every corner of the country.
