Adams and Reese Government Affairs Advisor Laura DiBella will serve as a moderator for a Florida Supply Chain Summit session: “Anchoring Florida’s Global Trade: Executive Insights from the State’s Leading Deepwater Seaports.”

The global trade session will take place at the PortMiami Cruise Terminal D on Sept. 10 at 9:15 a.m. It will occur on day two of the Florida Supply Chain Summit, which will be held Sept. 9-11. Days one and three will occur at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Resort.

DiBella will be joined by Carlos Buqueras, President and CEO of SeaPort Manatee and Chair of The Florida Ports Council; Joseph Morris, CEO and Port Director of the Port Everglades; Raul Alfonso, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer of Port Tampa Bay; Hydi Webb, Port Director and CEO of PortMiami; and Nick Primrose, Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer at the Jacksonville Port Authority.

These industry leaders will discuss their roles in advancing Florida as a global trade hub and offer insights into strategic initiatives, operational innovations, and collaborative efforts that are driving the growth and competitiveness of Florida’s maritime industry. They will explore emerging trends, address industry challenges, and discuss opportunities for partnership and development within the trade and logistics sector.

DiBella is a certified maritime port executive, the former Florida Harbor Pilots Association Executive Director, and Fernandina Ocean Highway and Port Authority Port Director.

At Adams and Reese, DiBella is a Government Affairs Advisor in the law firm’s Intersection of Business and Government (IBG) Practice. She works in the firm’s Tallahassee office. DiBella was Florida’s first female Secretary of Commerce. She was also the former FloridaCommerce President of Business Development and Enterprise Florida President/CEO. 

DiBella began her role with Adams and Reese in February 2024. She brings more than 25 years of experience in economic development and government relations strategy, lobbying for clients at the legislative and executive branches with knowledge of state and local government processes, and assisting them in site selection, recruitment, and retention project assistance. Across the nation, DiBella works with domestic and international businesses looking to maximize their investment opportunities.
