Press Release
Adams and Reese’s Sherman, Wickes Named To Florida Legal Elite
Published: Jun 26, 2017
Sherman received recognition in Bankruptcy and Workout while Wickes was honored for her work in Business Law. All nominees are processed, checked and tabulated by outside vendors and each is given a score based on the number of votes received, with more weight given to votes from outside the firm. The list of top vote-getters was further examined using membership status and histories provided by the Florida Bar.
A panel of previous Legal Elite winners, representing different practice areas in cities across the state, reviewed the selection process and the list of finalists. The resulting list represents fewer than 1.5 percent of the active Florida Bar members who practice in the Sunshine State.
Sherman has been with Adams and Reese since 2012 and has been practicing law since 1983. She represents financial institutions, special servicers of securitized commercial mortgages, creditors, trustees, landlords, debtors committees and other parties in all aspects of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, loan modifications and restructuring, foreclosures, collection and enforcement judgements, enforcement of security interest and creditors’ rights litigation
Wickes, who has practiced law since 1993, joined Adams and Reese in 2013 following the firm’s expansion into Jacksonville. She focuses primarily in the area of business litigation and has litigated cases involving contracting, corporate governance, employment and agency, trade practices and professional negligence.
