LSBA Honors Gerard Gaudet Among Top 40 Young Lawyers

Adams & Reese Partner Gerard Gaudet is a recipient of the “Top 40 Young Lawyers Award” from the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) Young Lawyers Division. The bar association recognized the state’s top 40 outstanding young lawyers at the Louisiana Young Lawyers Conference, held on April 11, 2025, at the New Orleans Marriott.
The award is presented to young lawyers in Louisiana who have made exceptional contributions to the legal profession and who share a commitment to giving back to their communities.
Gaudet serves as chair of the executive council of the New Orleans Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. In the role, he helps organize fundraisers for nonprofits that provide legal services to the indigent and veterans.
At Adams & Reese, Gaudet is a leading member of the Litigation Practice Group and a Partner in the firm’s New Orleans office. Gaudet advises clients in the maritime, energy, oil and gas, and construction industries. He has broad litigation experience in all these spaces, as well as in commercial/corporate litigation and catastrophic injury litigation. He also serves as outside general counsel to small business clients, advising them on their growth and operations, including lease agreements, contracts, employment issues, and disputes with vendors.
Gaudet has received several recognitions from clients and peers, including “Leadership in Law” by New Orleans CityBusiness and “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation by Best Lawyers®.
Gaudet earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. Gaudet is a graduate of both the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) and Leadership Jefferson.
