Overview

Carter Pope practices primarily in corporate services, transactions, and litigation, advising businesses in all areas of corporate law and working with clients to achieve their objectives in the complex and changing financial marketplace. His litigation experience helps him anticipate issues that may arise during transactions, and his transactional experience keeps business solutions and client goals center-of-mind during litigation.

Carter was a former law clerk within the Adams & Reese Summer Associate program, gaining transactional and litigation experience with the law firm’s Florida office attorneys. Additionally, he was a judicial intern within the Alapaha Judicial Circuit, where he gained experience working in researching case law, drafting legal memoranda, assisting with hearing and motion preparations for civil and criminal cases, appearing in court, and observing daily proceedings for indictments, pleas, motions, grand jury, hearings, and oral arguments.

Carter graduated cum laude in 2022 from Florida State University College of Law, where he was a staff editor of the Florida State University Law Review and writing and research editor of the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy. He was a competitor on the Jessup International Law Moot Court team.

In 2018, Carter earned his bachelor of science in political science, summa cum laude, from the Kennesaw State University College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Before law school, Carter worked in management for a large corporate business in the implementation and design of a new hospitality venture.
