Overview

Cate Creed is an associate in Adams & Reese’s New Orleans office. She focuses her practice on representing businesses and governmental entities in a variety of legal matters, including all manners of commercial disputes, contract disputes, property damage disputes, maritime claims, corporate governance issues, public finance transactions, and economic development projects.

In her litigation practice, Cate has experience managing cases from inception through resolution, handling complex commercial disputes to protect her client's interests. Her public finance work involves assisting municipalities and public agencies in structuring and executing financing arrangements for infrastructure and development initiatives. Additionally, Cate advises clients on economic and industrial development projects, facilitating growth and fostering beneficial partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Cate earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court, and Honor Board. In addition to her Juris Doctor, Cate received a Legal, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Certificate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and the Business Foundations Minor from The University of Texas at Austin.

Cate is an active member of the American Cancer Society’s Junior Executive Board, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation’s Board of Directors, and the Young Leadership Council (YLC) of New Orleans. She is committed to community development and serves on YLC’s Wednesday at the Square Fundraising Committee. Cate was also the recipient of Adams & Reese’s 2024 Champion of Diversity award for her leadership and development of the Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Program in New Orleans.
