Charles Henry’s government relations practice involves working on behalf of his clients to advance policy interests and priorities at the state and federal levels. Drawing upon his substantial experience in government, Charles tracks and analyzes data, and provides strategic advice on a broad range of operational issues for his clients.
Prior to joining Adams and Reese, Charles served in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Charles dedicated his effort to the interests of business as a member of the Commerce, Labor and Industry Relations, and the House and Governmental Affairs Committees.
The former Chief of Staff for Republican Whip Steve Scalise, Charles’ experience in Washington D.C. allows him a unique insight to Congressional Leadership and the inner workings of Congress. This affords him an unparalleled understanding of the complex relationships across local, state and federal governments and how to navigate issues for clients as a highly effective and thoughtful government relations consultant.
Charles began his political career as a legislative assistant to then State Representative Steve Scalise while attending Loyola College of Law. He remained with Scalise through his brief career in the State Senate and was grassroots coordinator for Scalise’s congressional campaign. Charles began his federal career as Deputy Chief of Staff, a role that allowed him to work closely with local and state elected officials, as well as the business community and media.
