Overview
Collin M. Weyand practices primarily in the areas of insurance coverage, construction litigation, and oil and gas litigation. He has drafted numerous coverage opinions analyzing insurance coverage and potential insurer liability for both first-party and third-party claims. Collin has also drafted petitions, answers, motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss and notices of removal, and he has assisted with preparation for eviction hearings, depositions and trials.
Originally joining Adams & Reese as a law clerk in March 2018, Collin came to the firm after serving as a law clerk at three Houston-based law offices where he focused on insurance coverage litigation.
Collin finished law school seventh in his class and was invited to be in the Order of the Lytae. While in law school, he was a finalist in a pair of Moot Court competitions, received six CALI Awards for the highest grade in his class, and was a member of the Board of Advocates and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Collin also served as Senior Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review, Editor-in-Chief of the Adelphia Law Journal, Associate Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review, Dean of the E.E. Townes Senate of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity, and Treasurer of the Federalist Society.
As an undergraduate, Collin was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, an active member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and a Student Government Senator. In junior college, he played two seasons of varsity basketball and was a member of the Trinity Valley Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

- Collin has authored a pair of articles – "Morris v. Ernst & Young, LLP: Employees Have the Right to Bring Legal Claims Together" and "Int'l Franchise Ass’n v. City of Seattle: A Blow to Franchisees" – which were published in the Corporate Counsel Review.
