Danielle Douglas

Danielle Douglas represents companies of all sizes in financial services litigation and general commercial litigation, with experience assisting with labor and employment issues, product liability claims, contract disputes, insurance disputes, and issues arising from the intersection of business and government. She also represents private and public utility service providers in litigation in state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Adams & Reese, Danielle served as Acting Intergovernmental & Public Liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice within the Office of Legislative Affairs. In this role, Danielle served as DOJ’s liaison to governors’ staff, state attorneys’ general offices, state and local elected officials, law enforcement agencies, professional organizations, and private sector entities.

While at the U.S. Department of Justice, Danielle also served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs, advising on matters related to civil litigation, civil rights, immigration, health care fraud, health care policy, and violent crime initiatives. Danielle’s previous experience preparing witnesses to testify before Congress is invaluable to her litigation practice. In this role, she also advised DOJ’s client-agencies regarding their communications with Congress on matters involved in litigation, and coordinated the Senate confirmation process for DOJ executive nominations.
