Overview
Jay Michael Ross advises clients primarily on issues related to municipal and county governments, with an emphasis on economic development, intergovernmental relations and state and federal regulatory, organizational and operational matters. He provides day-to-day operational advice to municipal and county governments throughout south Alabama, and he works with clients to create cooperative, tax and other improvement districts throughout the region to promote economic development and provide incentives for business development. Jay has served as lead negotiator for his government clients in economic development projects in south Alabama worth in excess of $1 billion.
In addition to his government practice, Jay also serves as outside general counsel to business and individual clients, representing professional services firms and other clients in general civil litigation matters as well as corporate law, bankruptcy and probate matters.
Community Involvement
Jay is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Mobile, a member of Mobile United and a board member of the Goodwill Easter Seals of the Gulf Coast and Mobile Area Boy Scouts.
