Kate maintains a diverse litigation practice, representing clients in complex commercial disputes, title defect claims, surety matters, professional negligence, insurance coverage, and product liability cases. She also has experience litigating claims involving unfair trade practices, trade secrets, fraud, non-compete agreements, defamation, corporate governance, and real estate disputes. Additionally, Kate has experience advising companies and individuals on the enforcement of complex contract provisions, including asset purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, and fiduciary duty matters.
Kate has experience navigating all phases of the litigation, from pre-suit strategy and case development to trial advocacy and appeals. She delivers strategic, results-driven solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, whether defending against claims or pursuing relief in high-stakes disputes. Her appellate experience is equally extensive, serving as appellate counsel during trial and advocating for clients in post-trial and appellate proceedings.
Before entering private practice, Kate was a judicial law clerk for The Hon. John W. Kittredge, Supreme Court of South Carolina, and The Hon. Robert E. Hood, Fifth Judicial Circuit. She formerly interned for The Hon. Mary Geiger Lewis, U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
