Lucia G. Lesso is a Government Relations Coordinator in the Adams and Reese Mobile office, working with businesses on navigating regulatory challenges across local, state, and federal governments, and connecting clients’ interests and policy goals to further business growth.
Before joining Adams and Reese, Lucia was a legislative aide and research assistant for the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in Washington, DC. Lucia advocated for small businesses and worked with a bipartisan group of nearly 20 congressional leaders on the main legislative issues impacting small business – the heartbeat of our economy.
During her stint in DC, Lucia also oversaw the Entrepreneurial Development and Women’s issues portfolio. She introduced several bills and managed policy negotiations during a period of SBA reauthorization. She engaged with public, private, and federal stakeholders to craft policy and legislative solutions.
Lucia formerly worked for the Office of U.S. Senator John Kennedy. She previously interned for Majority Leader Steve Scalise, when he served as House Minority Whip, and also U.S. Senator David Perdue. She gained experience on policy issues affecting businesses across various industries.
Lucia has public relations, communications, social media, marketing, and grant writing experience, formerly working for El Centro, a nonprofit that provides financial literacy programming, business coaching, and entrepreneurial training to Latinx individuals and entrepreneurs in south Louisiana. Among her accomplishments for the nonprofit, Lucia created a grant bank database of local, state, and national donors; conducted research on the needs of Hispanic small businesses; and authored successful grant applications.
Lucian gained corporate experience, formerly interning for The Coca-Cola Company, assisting on a large reorganization project at its headquarters, creating and organizing Excel data banks regarding nutrition and bottling information.
Lucia earned her B.A. from Tulane University with double majors in Communications and Spanish and a minor in Management. She was on the Dean’s List.
In the community, Lucia was a former volunteer for the Shepherd Center and intern for Georgia Early Education for Ready Students, both in Atlanta.
Lucia is proficient in Spanish. She is a dual citizen of USA and Australia.
