Mengxuan Wang is a member of the Adams and Reese Global Intellectual Property practice,  where she addresses a broad range of IP-related legal matters for both international and domestic clients.  Mengxuan primarily focuses on trademark law and brand protection, anti-counterfeiting measures for businesses, and navigating the legal implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Mengxuan is a former law clerk with Adams and Reese, working closely with attorneys and advisors across the national law firm’s footprint. Mengxuan has experience with trademark litigation in federal courts, opposition proceedings and motions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and engaging in transactional practices such as domain enforcement before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She also handles copyright legal matters and advises on right of publicity issues. Mengxuan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/U.S.). She is admitted to practice in both Texas and New York.

Mengxuan brings a global perspective to her practice. Fluent in Chinese, and formerly an attorney in China, Mengxuan is familiar with the intricacies of Chinese laws and regulations. This international knowledge enables Mengxuan to assist United States companies looking to do business in China and Chinese businesses looking to expand their presence into the U.S. In addition, having studied abroad at The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, she gained a strong foundation in European intellectual property laws and has developed an understanding of the EU's approach to IP and related legal frameworks. This international experience complements her work with multinational clients and their cross-border IP needs.

Mengxuan holds a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law, where she served as a Primary Editor of the Washington University Jurisprudence Review and a board member of the Women of Color Law Society. Additionally, she earned an LL.M.  in Comparative and International Law from SMU Dedman School of Law, and two degrees from Peking University in Beijing, China—a Bachelor of Laws in International Political Economy and a Juris Master with a focus on International Commercial Law.
