Overview

Steven Moritz is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice, experienced in all aspects of the litigation process, from inception and consultation with corporate clients to the resolution of their case and situation, all tailored to assisting their various legal needs.
Steven’s practice is primarily focused on commercial litigation, with a concentration in construction and oil and gas litigation.  Steven has drafted numerous petitions, answers, and dispositive motions, and he has built experience representing his clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.

Previously, Steven was a paralegal and legal assistant in the Adams & Reese Houston office, where he assisted colleagues in diverse practice areas. He has close to a decade of paralegal experience in Houston and clerked for several local firms, gaining familiarity with the varying litigation and procedural processes in courts across Texas.

Steven earned his J.D. from the South Texas College of Law, where he served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He was captain of the South Texas Baseball Arbitration Competition Team, and he was a member of the Tax Law Society. Steven received his Bachelor of Science in Management, with a major in Finance, from Tulane University. He was a Division I scholarship student athlete on the Green Wave baseball team.

In the community, Steven serves on the Special Olympics Texas East Region Advisory Board, and he is a volunteer coach in the West University Little League. He led the 2022 Seniors Division All Stars to the Little League World Series.
