Overview
Taylor Brooks’s diverse practice focuses on advising clients with transactional legal work in public finance and economic development. She helps clients involved in complex financings, including local government projects, professional sports facilities, and multifamily housing developments. Taylor assists financial institutions, industrial development groups, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and other governmental entities. She has experience serving as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, and underwriter’s counsel, using her keen eye for detail to manage the nuances across public finance transactions.
Additionally, Taylor provides strategic transactional and contractual support to clients across multiple industries, including commercial real estate, corporate governance, and alcohol and hospitality. She assists with contract drafting and review, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
Taylor is a 2020 graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. While in law school, she served as Senior Publication Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. She was named to the Dean’s List and was a Dean’s Scholar.
Taylor is an undergraduate alumna of the University of Alabama, where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology and General Business in 2017. She was a member of the UA Honors College and the Psychology Honors Program, and she was involved in the Student Government Association.
