Allyce Trapp is a Government Affairs Advisor in the Baton Rouge office and a member of the Adams and Reese Intersection of Business and Government Practice.

Allyce works with businesses and nonprofits across various industries on researching, planning, and executing government relations strategies at the local and state levels across Louisiana, combined with creating and implementing communications and public relations plans for companies in front of traditional and social media.

Government Relations

Allyce brings vast government relations experience to Adams and Reese having developed relationships at multiple levels of government, including with municipal agencies, city councils, and state agencies, as well as with other stakeholders.

These relationships enable Allyce to help her clients navigate through any regulatory challenges and connect their interests and policy goals to further business growth.

From generating grassroots strategies to managing strategy development, Allyce has experience assisting clients in drafting, lobbying, and passing legislation; recruiting, training, and mobilizing advocates; and supporting alliances among organizations with similar public policy goals.

Allyce served as former Director of Governmental Affairs for the Home Builders Association of Greater Baton Rouge. In that role, she developed and managed a long-term government relations strategy to increase the Association’s visibility and grow its presence through legislative advocacy and grants. In addition, Allyce was employed as a former associate of a full-service issues management communications firm, where she gained a robust knowledge of the Louisiana Legislature and crisis communications.

Several examples of Allyce’s experience in government relations include:

  • Representing various stakeholders at the legislative level amidst the emergence of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
  • Managing priorities, goals, and reputations of clients as issues directly and indirectly affecting their businesses arise.
  • Connecting stakeholders and local government officials, such as successfully halting a moratorium that led to further discussion and a more comprehensive policy around harmful effects in the community.

Allyce is an active board member of Association of Louisiana Lobbyists.
